Back to DeShong

I revisited the DeShong Park courts the following Saturday. I was there with my son, who was taking skateboard lessons. No Nikon 70-200 mm this time. I was left to my own vices. The day started out overcast, so my Nikon 55-200 mm f/4-5.6G  kit lens struggled to keep up with the fast moving players. I quickly switched to my Nikon 50 mm f/1.4G prime lens, which performed very well under varying light conditions. I had to do some foot work to get the shots I wanted, but was satisfied with the results. To capture the shadowy mood of the morning, I processed most of the pictures in black and white.
