Steam Rolled!

It was clear from the tip-off that, the Riverdale Lady Raiders were not expecting the “shock and awe” that besieged them by the Parkview Lady Panthers. Parkview’s full court press forced Riverdale to turn over the ball early and often, after which Riverdale never really threatened the entire game. No single player substitutions, but rather 4 to 5 players at a time was the approach taken by the Panther’s Head Coach, Tony Watkins. The Lady Panthers left no doubt that they can dominate in every aspect of the game: scoring, rebounding and defense. Riverdale failed to score into double figures in the first three quarters. The final score was Parkview 61, Riverdale 29. The Lady Panthers now advance to the championship to face Alpharetta on Tuesday, November 22, 2011.
