Another photography assignment. This time, I was hired by Southern Hoops Report to obtain action photos of select players for the Southern Hoops Showcase at North Gwinnett High School, in Suwanee, GA. I’m starting to use my flash more and more to shoot indoor basketball games. I prefer using strobes to combat the poor lighting in most high school basketball gyms. Further, I can overpower the fluorescent lights, which tend to vary constantly during a game. My plan is to upgrade my strobes and RF triggers over the next few weeks. I need better triggering than what’s currently being provided by my cheap RF triggers. In addition, I need strobes that will allow me to shoot at higher speed (hyper sync). My wish list includes PocketWizard Flexx TT5s, and Paul C. Buff Einstien E640s. I plan to also add a more powerful Nikon flash, the SB-910.
